Triz a way to generate ideas

Still very few had applied Triz methodology into the business sector. Challenge big enough for you?
Todavía son pocos los que han aplicado la metodología Triz en la empresa. Reto suficiente?

  1. I am sorry but reality is exactly opposite.
TRIZ was applied to business in many ways and for many cases. Those applications bring lot of positives, as well as in many other applications for non engineering domains.
The point is that TRIZ is an instrument to create problem solving instruments. Unfortunately it is known just as a 40 principles. Someone hear about ARIZ. But TRIZ is a huge domain of fundamental knowledge on Thinking of non typical problem solving. Those who have deep knowledge in TRIZ and who have learned Classical TRIZ as an instrument for creating tools for problem solving in various domains use it fluently for many applications and create new tools whenever they need them. What people name today TRIZ is very different from what was done by Genrich Altshuller in Classical TRIZ. This situation appear because of not so lot of correct information on Classical TRIZ available in English, some more in German. Ther are some historical reasons and other reality that create this strange situation. TRIZ became very popular in the world, but level of knowledge is very superficial, sometimes exactly opposite to what was done in Classical TRIZ.

  2. You are right still so much to be done. I tried to bring the curiosity of the lectors on this topic by adding "nobody" true is inaccurate! very few have the luxury to have this knowdlegde as people have to pay and its difficult to find more info on the net. After a seminar on the results of the applications of Trizz in the mechanical engineering sector great resultsss. I'm still curious. As you are an expert on this field, could you share with us one great principle of Triz that should be must for entrepreneurs? be careful this is a free blog Thanks!

  3. Maybe the OTSM Problem Flow Networks approach, will be great for entrepreneurs? could you share some bits with us.

  4. Yes you are right OTSM Problem flow networks is a powerful instruments for dealing with complex interdisciplinary problematic situations, in Business as well.
Have a look for detail her:

Edited by Noel Leon-Rovira, Su K. Cho. Springer 2007, ISBN:978-0-387-75455-0. ISSN: 1571-5736 (Print) 1861-2288 (Online)p.77-88

    And here

    One more:

This is just about first stage of Problem flow networks approach - about network of problems. It helps to obtain better formalized description of a big picture of a certain problematic situation and then use other OTSM-TRIZ based instruments to solve it.

PFN has the same function in OTSM as ARIZ in Classical TRIZ. But Classical ARIZ is dedicated to deal with mono problem (mono-contradiction) and PFN is an instrument to deal with poli-problem that consists of networks of problems and contradictions.
